Delete your account and data

You can delete your PHYTOSPEX account at any time, from inside the app or by writing to us. This page explains both routes, and exactly what is erased and what survives.
From the app (fastest)
Open the PHYTOSPEX app and go to Settings → Privacy & data → Delete account. It asks you to confirm, then erases the account immediately and signs you out. Nothing else is needed and nobody has to approve it.
By email (if you have uninstalled the app)
If the app is no longer on your phone, email us from the address your account uses and ask for it to be deleted. We act within thirty days, and usually within two working days.
We will confirm it is your account before deleting anything — an unverified request is how somebody else erases your records.
What is deleted, and what is not
Your account is removed outright. Your soil readings are not deleted — they are detached from you: your account link and the GPS coordinates are stripped, and what remains is an unattributed soil measurement that continues to inform the regional baselines other farmers see. This is deliberate, and it is the one thing on this page worth reading twice.

| Leaf photographs | Nothing to delete — we never store them. A photo is sent for analysis, the written finding comes back, and the image is not retained by us. |
| Regional averages your readings contributed to | Kept. They are statistics across many farms with no way back to any individual, so there is nothing personal left in them to erase. |
| Purchase and warranty records, if you bought a device | Kept for as long as Indian tax and company law requires us to keep them. Deleting your app account does not and cannot delete a tax invoice. |
Data on your own phone
Readings are stored on your phone as well as on our servers. Uninstalling the app removes everything it holds locally. Deleting your account does not by itself wipe the copy on a phone you are still signed in to — uninstall to do that.
